Whether you have been away for as little as a semester or more than a year, the transition back to the campus community is important. The formal reinstatement process is straightforward: your dean will be in touch to ask you to complete an online reinstatement form, and will help you with all of the details. If you took a leave for health-related reasons, you will also be asked to fill out paperwork for University Health Services and/or Counseling and Psychological Services.
In planning for your return, you will want to think about logistics such as course enrollment, housing, financial aid, and health insurance. We also encourage you to reflect on how to meet your academic goals and reconnect with your campus community. Your residential college staff will be your partners as you navigate the transition back.
Students returning from a military service leave should let their residential college dean know of their intention to re-enroll. Students returning from a military leave are reinstated with the same academic standing they held prior to their leave.
